Just friggin' do it.

by jadedsecret @ 2008-07-29 - 11:08:33

I've officially decided to drop out of college for the meantime and then finally start my business which I've been putting off for sooooo long.
My mom isn't enthusiastic about my decision but at the same time, she wants to support me in my decision. And my sister? She's the person I thought who'd support me but instead, she told me it was a stupid decision.
All day, all I've done is research, research, research for my future business. I'm tired but I feel good about the whole thing.

Not Ok!

by jadedsecret @ 2008-07-11 - 05:48:04

I really don't know what they're trying to imply placing a minor holding her newborn baby on the cover of Ok! magazine, portraying like she's just won an Oscar or something. You can say I'm old-fashioned but I don't think that it's a good message to all teenagers. Now, teenagers are making pregnancy pacts, like bringing up babies together is as fun as taking care of pets. Can anyone confirm if this is right??

Grrr. Grrr.

by jadedsecret @ 2008-07-03 - 16:53:45

One thing I can't really stand in this whole world is people being two-faced.
Call it anything else.
Plastic.
Fake.
Medusa.
You know those types of people whom you thought you are so cool with and it turns out that they can't stand you because of the shallowest thing?? I mean, why can't they just say it straight to your face how much they want to get rid of you and get it over with instead of prolonging the agony??

You thought that everything was evenly settled but for some odd reason, that person you know has been a Plastic all along and doesn't even have the guts to say what his problem is to your face?? It's just pitiful. Those types of people don't know yet how to deal with their own problems so they're resorting to this, "Im-fine-outside-but-inside-you-are-the-most-disgusting-person-i-know."

It just pisses me off!! Seriously!!
I can forgive people who have the decency to tell me what things I'm doing wrong or things that I haven't done, but I will breathe fire at anyone who'll let the resentment grow and form it into a bomb against me when i have no friggin' idea... it's just not right, especially when someone is innocent!!

And C., if you're reading this, you know what I mean, you closet gay. Why can't you just admit you're gay (my gaydar has never failed me) and that you're making us move out coz u can't accomodate your friggin' "boyfriends" properly when we're in your space? Can't believe after everything we did just for you and your convenience...your reasons are remarkably SHALLOW and IDIOTIC. grow the hell up.

hahaha!!

I swear, watching Jeff Dunham and Achmed The Dead Terrorist is a laughing scream!! Jeff Dunham is a brilliant ventriloquist. He's appeared in David Letterman's show until there came a time his career took him to the Kodak Theater to do his thing. A combination of stand-up comedy and puppetry is sheer genius. Go to Youtube and type "Achmed" in the search bar. Click on the video that has already been viewed 53 million times!!

Pick-up line comeback!

by jadedsecret @ 2008-06-12 - 08:33:21

This is what you're suppose to respond when some ugly guy comes up to you with the worst pick up line ever!

Boy: Haven't I seen you someplace before?
Girl: Yeah, that's why I don't go there anymore.

Boy: So what do you do for a living?
Girl: Female impersonator.

Boy: Is this seat empty?
Girl:Yes, and this one will be too if you sit down.

Boy:So, wanna go back to my place?
Girl: Well, I don't know. Will two people fit under a rock?

Boy: I'd like to call you. What's your number?
Girl: It's in the phone book.

Boy: But I don't know your name.
Girl: That's in the phone book too.

Boy: What sign were you born under?
Girl: No Parking.

Boy: Hey, baby, What's your sign?
Girl: Stop.

Boy: Hey cutie, how 'bout you and I hitting the hot spots?
Girl: Sorry, I don't date outside my species.

Boy: May I see you pretty soon?
Girl: Why? Don't you think I'm pretty now?

Boy: Your body is like a temple.
Girl: Sorry, there are no services today.

Boy: I'd go through anything for you.
Girl: Good! Let's start with your bank account.

Boy: I would go to the end of the world for you.
Girl: Yes, but would you stay there?

Boy: Your place or mine?
Girl: Both. You go to yours and I'll go to mine.

After hearing a pickup line:
I like your approach, now let's see your departure.

Boy: Does beauty run in your family?
Girl: It obviously doesn't in yours!

Boy: What's your name sexy?
Girl: Taken!

Boy: Do you believe in love at first sight or do you want me to walk by again?
Girl: Yeah, but this time don't stop!

Boy: I think you're the best looking girl in here.
Girl: Really? Well, I'd better go find the best looking guy then, hadn't I!

Boy: Your legs go clear up to your a**.
Girl: Most peoples' do!

Boy: Can I buy you a drink?
Girl: Go ahead, but only if you buy my boyfriend one too!

Boy: You look like a dream.
Girl: Go back to sleep.

Boy: What`s it like being the most beautiful girl in the bar?
Girl: What`s it like being the biggest liar in the world?

Boy: I can see forever in your eyes
Girl: But all I can see is never in yours.

Boy: I looked up beautiful in the thesaurus today and your name was included.
Girl: Thanks! Hey, I saw your name next to jerk.

For the boys:

If you are looking at a girl and she says "What are you looking at?"
say "I thought you were good looking, but I was mistaken."

Boy: Would you like to dance?
Girl: Not with you.
Boy: Oh, come on. Lower your standards a little, I just did.

Boy: Do you wanna dance?
Girl: Yeah but not with you!
Boy: You must have misunderstood me, I said you look fat in those pants

*note: I just grabbed this from a friend's blog.

Lovely Read

by jadedsecret @ 2008-06-11 - 15:07:23

I just finished reading the classic "Little Women." And I think it's such a good book. The girls in the book are such darling characters: the tomboyish Jo, the prim and proper Meg, shy Beth and restless Amy. I loved the whole lot, including Laurie. And I also think it's nice that Meg does care for Mr. Brooke in the end. :>>
I think Jo does care for Laurie in a more-than-friend manner if she weren't so cynical about being romantic and sentimental.B)

One of those days

by jadedsecret @ 2008-06-10 - 13:02:46

I'm talking about one of those days (well, my days, specifically) when I'm just browsing around our local bookstore... It's one of those momentous days when I spot a book I happen to be looking for and it's on sale.

And I spotted the classic, "Little Women". Let me tell you that classic books in my local bookstore don't come cheap. I just happened to stumble into that bargain of a lifetime, which I soooo luuuurrve...

Anyway, after this, I'm gonna start devouring the chapters.

National Heroes vs Celebrities

by jadedsecret @ 2008-06-07 - 15:14:09

I swear that the Department of Education in the Philippines have nothing else to fret about. They're criticizing manufacturers of school notebooks about the cover designs of their products: local celebrities. I do agree that it's all in bad taste and does not promote anything other than their worthless soap operas and try-hard sitcoms. |-|

One of the department people said that they should put pictures of our national heroes instead. I'm all for that, especially since I'm quite proud with the history of the Philippines, and I think a slice of the past should be enough for the schoolchildren to take their education seriously.

One of the actors in the cover of the school notebooks was interviewed. And I'd love to rip his guts out and feed his pretty-boy head to the lions along with the other idiots in the industry because he claims that he thinks that national heroes should be on the cover...but if he was more "influential", why can't he be on the cover???XX(

Barefoot Cinderella

by jadedsecret @ 2008-05-29 - 07:53:30

I found this article online that had given me a beacon of hope in my life. It made me realize that being a Cinderella without the glass slipper is perfectly alright. I admit, that when my best friend looks dressed to kill on a Friday night, I look less than hot and more than subtle. Gimme some credit, I do bare some skin. I'm flat-chested, I only brush my hair when I spot my comb somewhere in the condo, I don't go to the dermatologist , there are times I'm too lazy to wax my legs and I don't use foundation with my make-up because I feel like I'm laying cake on my skin.

I have my best features, though I won't say which. I'm quite proud of them, including my flaws. Compared to my best friend who can afford to shop in the trendiest boutiques, I just rummage in my mom's closet and steal some pieces from my sister, and voila! I have my skills, my outspoken and frank behavior, and my values.

Thank you, Walter Kirn, for writing this realistic and eye-opening article, for all those Barefoot Cinderellas out there.

Shut Up, Miley

by jadedsecret @ 2008-05-28 - 14:04:59

Give her a break.

Scandalous. It started with that lacy bra, followed by other suggestive photos that are a hundred times magnified and contemplated by the media and the public. It's only right that she apologizes about those photos, but when she begged for forgiveness once more when her Vanity Fair photo came out, I am this close to pulling my scalp out of my head. How could her photos have "leaked" in the net? If she was an 18-year-old posing for Vanity Fair instead of a 15-year-old, would it cause a bigger speculation?

All I want Miley Cyrus to do is to stop saying sorry when there isn't a need to. This is a part and partial problem when you're a teen growing up in the set of Disney: you are expected to keep a squeaky-clean, family sub-urbs, pink and innocent image. And when you're a teen with the infamous hormones and torn between being a kid and an adult, you're sure you cannot please everyone.

And for the record, I think her Vanity Fair picture is beautiful and sophisticated and shows her demure side.
